Ok, maybe you don't want an old Buick. I can wax poetic about bench seating and the 3.8 V6 but I understand we don't all share my passion. This car comes from a mechanic friend. A Brit living in the Bronx who normally fixes cars I would never recommend (for you). We mostly chat about British cars that never even made it to our shores. He's got great stories and knows his stuff.
Every once in a while he's got something I would recommend you buy. This 85 Mercedes 300 TurboDiesel won't be winning any beauty contests but with proper maintenance these beefy sedans will run until the sun goes out. The Turbo Diesel engine just got a new starter, new filters and a battery. These cars can also be easily converted to run on veggie oil if you want to save the world or just love the smell of French fries. 2,500 should take it. Email me for the plug.
